I've decided that unless I have a really great title I'm just going to give the darn things numbers.

I wish I would get my pictures uploaded on flickr or something so I could pop them onto this blog instead of having to search all over the Internets for pictures to use to convey my many feelings.

The weather has been logically wintery the last couple of days. We have a bit of wispy snow still on the ground, but the rest has melted away. Either way it's getting bitterly cold and my fingers are not so delightfully frozen. What does all this have to do with anything? Well, quite frankly, nothing.

I didn't really do my lists yesterday. One seems rather like I'm being lazy. So I thought of a few things that I have recently decided to like.

~new likes~
>Pandora Radio
>Cutesy Cupcakes
>randomly found stuffs about vintage clothing patterns
>New Artist - at least newer to me... Corinne Bailey Rae
>gingersnap lattes? still not sure about this one.I decided to splurge today and get something more expensive than three shots of espresso with cream and some flavoring, but hey, this has three shots and milk so either way it's the same just with ginger something flavoring. *shrug* it's not bad, but I wouldn't drink it every day.

~top played itunes songs~
>Dear Chicago - Ryan Adams
played 241 times
>Near to you - A Fine Frenzy
played 229 times
>Bak et Hallelujah - Kaizers Orchestra
played 197 times
>The Stoop - Little Jackie
played 193 times
>Psalms 3 - Salvador
played 186 times.

Now it's a matter of trying to get other songs further up the list so that they'll be in the top 5. it's weird how I can listen to the same song for hours on end. weird I tell you. Something is not right with me.

~books I'm reading~
>Siddhartha - Herman Hesse
>Interview with a vampire - Anne Rice
>The Rights of Man - Thomas Paine
>An Ideal Husband - Oscar Wilde
>The Overcoat - Nikolai Gogol
It is no use to blame the looking glass if your face is awry.
- Nikolai Gogol

for kicks and giggles I recently reread (within 3 days) all of Ann Brashares Sisterhood of the Traveling pants books. They are so poignant and yet I feel cheesy reading tween/almost adult romances. One of the things I really adore about Ann Brashares though is that she uses quotes to begin each chapter. Quotes like
"not all who wander are lost." J.R.R. Tolkien
"Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday."
anyway I was reminded of how I love, love, love quotes. I adore a good quote so I am going to share 5 of my favorites.

~five favorite quotes~
>In the beginning, there was nothing, which exploded.
- Terry Pratchett
>I do not want people to be agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them.
- Jane Austen
>If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
- Voltaire
>During the Season, father, I only talk seriously on the first Tuesday in every month, from four to seven.
- Oscar Wilde - An Ideal Husband
>I have
Immortal longings in me.
- William Shakespeare

and counting.

Can't believe I even bother really. It's not that I enjoy sharing... OKAY! I do!

My shirts finally arrived from threadless I'm sure you cannot imagine how thrilled I am. I work tomorrow after a long and tedious "vacation". I'm going to wear one titled Decay. I shall wear it proudly. I shall also take pictures. WOO! I am ever so excited. weird.

I was browsing around today on websites looking for collapsible batons because you never know when a girl may need a defense weapon. Since I do not have my concealed weapons permit as of yet, I have been seriously contemplating getting something else that shall provide some adequate protection and low and behold I come across a v. interesting blog which made me fall in love all over again with our second amendment rights to bare arms. I mean seriously Why Not?
So yeah... on my Christmas list this year is a collapsible baton and a hand gun. Not that I'll get the later, but it's worth a shot. oi! that was completely unintentional.

I have bored you all enough for today. So onto the lists.

~things I discovered~
>that Andrew Bell designed a shirt for threadless. WEE
which is exciting because he draws the most adorably creepy creatures ever.
>Dario's Brasserie
was v. elegant and yet felt very comfy and warm, plus our waiter was a bit of a Vin Diesel type - muscled and bald. heh.
>I don't really like beer I don't know the exact names of the two that I tried, but I'm thinking a wheat beer wouldn't be my thing.
>Dario's crème brûlée is delish
>Oscar Wilde was quite wise. :)
from An Ideal Husband
LORD GORING. Other people are quite dreadful. The only possible society is oneself.
LORD GORING. During the Season, father, I only talk seriously on the first Tuesday in every month, from four to seven.
eehehehe He is my favorite of all Wilde's characters and Rupert Everett plays him to perfection.

*sigh*

I've no other great lists or news. ta ta for now.

Thanksgiving

There's nothing better than the week of Thanksgiving. I think I like the holiday more because it's so close to my birth date. I get to celebrate getting old and then be thankful for getting old. How great is that?

I am very excited about this Thanksgiving. My cousin and his family are going to be at my house this year and I am cooking a turkey for maybe the second time in my entire life. I'm planning on making a turkey recipe that I saw on the food network -- done by Sandra Lee (who quite frankly annoys the heck out of me for no other reason than she's the queen of overdone tables).

I'm also making green-bean casserole, cranberry salad (from a recipe passed down from my grandmother to my mother), mashed potatoes, and ham. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but my brain is shot. I spent all of yesterday evening cleaning my over-cluttered house. I am completely and utterly exhausted.
Not that rest is anywhere in my near future... as baking, cooking, peeling, cleaning etc. are on the list of things to do tomorrow. Plus I will have to get up early to get the turkey started 4-6 hours to cook/bake something in the oven good lord, I hope I have enough time and do not over sleep.

I'm not stressed. :)

really.

*collapses in a heap*

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

oh joy...

it's finally Wednesday. Woot! I actually remembered and, golly gee, had time to sit and write something. I wonder sometimes why I bother to keep an online journal/blog of any sort. It's not really like there is much that is of interest about me. I live an ordinary life, work an ordinary job, and overall I'm nothing to be commended. That being said... on to the lists.

There will be no venting today... instead I shall list the things that make me happy.

~happy things~
>coffee
>Squishables
>this adorable octopus necklace
>the best t-shirt place evah
>online literature such as Discourse of Method by Descartes

~songs that make me smile~

>Død mann tango - Kaizers Orchestra
sha la la laaaa sha la la
>Black and Gold - Sam Sparro
>Cheater Cheater - Joey & Rory
>Run - Amy Macdonald
>The Stoop - Little Jackie

~other things that make me smile~
>yarns
even though I am terrible at doing any projects
>fingerless gloves
I'm not really sure why
>I love this shirt I am sure the explanation is in order... but I don't have one really.

>Tuesdays & Thursdays at work
every other day is fair and well... but there is something special about Tuesdays and Thursdays.
>hahhahahaha Niiiiiice

~countries I want to visit~
>Russia
I really want to go back to Moscow. I miss it.
>Iceland
>Italy
>New Zealand
>Czech Republic & Slovakia

and thus ends my ramblings for today.

once again

it's not Wednesday. I have to be honest I've had a rather busy last couple of days. I mean with the whole day off and a short Wednesday because of Spanish class in the evening... well, I just can't keep up with the blogging. Plus,I do not have anything to say. so. there.

um... yeah. I have just been so busy.

I've had two songs stuck in my brain for the last two days.

If you'd like to hear them it's possible to go on this awesome website.

Dear Chicago - Ryan Adams
LYRICS
Dear Chicago,
You'll never guess.
You know the girl you said I'd meet someday?
Well, I've got something to confess.
She picked me up on Friday.
Asked me if she reminded me of you.
I just laughed and lit a cigarette,
Said "that's impossible to do."
My life's gotten simple since.
And it fluctuates so much.
Happy and sad and back again.
I'm not crying out to much.
Think about you all the time.
It's strange and hard to deal.
Think about you lying there.
And those blankets lie so still.
Nothing breathes here in the cold.
Nothing moves or even smiles.
I've been thinking some of suicide.
But there's bars out here for miles.
Sorry about the every kiss.
Every kiss you wasted (bad / back)
I think the thing you said was true,
I'm going to die alone and sad.

The wind's feeling real these days.
Yeah, baby, it hurt's me some.
Never thought I'd feel so blue.
New York City, you're almost gone.
I think that I've fallen out of love,
I think I've fallen out of love . . . with you.

~~ I think I'm in a very melancholy mood as of late. I'm tired. I even feel alone most of the time and I'm pretty much always with someone. Is it possible that once you've decided not to dream anymore that you start dieing? If so then that is how I feel right now. dead.

Absolute Zero - Jason Mraz

LYRICS
You. You were a friend. You were a friend of mine I let you spend the night
You see how it was my fault. Of course it was mine.
I'm too hard at work. Have you ever heard of anything so absurd ever in your life.
I'm sorry for wasting your time.

Who am I to say this situation isn't great? It's my job to make the most of it
Of course I didn't know that it would happen to me. Not that easy.

Hey what's that you say? You're not blaming me for anything that's great
But I don't break that easy. Does it fade away?
So that's why I'm apologizing now for telling you I thought that we could make it
I just don't get enough to believe that we've both changed.

Who am I to say this situation isn't great? It's my time to make the most of it
How could I ever know that this would happen to me, not that easy, no
All along the fault is up for grabs why don't you have it
Well it's for sale go make your offer, I'll sell it for no less than what I bought it for
Pay no more than absolutely zero.

Well neither one of us deserves the blame because opportunities moved us away
And it's not an easy thing to learn to play a game that's made for two that's you and me
The rules remain a mystery. See it can be easy.

Who am I to say this situation isn't great? It's our time to make the most of it
How could we ever know that this would happen to me, not that easy, no
All along the fault is up for grabs and there you have it
Well it's for sale go make your offer, I'll sell it for no less than what I bought it for
Pay no more than absolutely zero.

Pet Peev

So, based on my love of Bunny I decided for Halloween to make a pet peeve and possibly (if I had actually gone out) dress like pink bunny. NOT PLAYBOY BUNNY! PINK BUNNY. there is a big friggin' difference people... like seriously... geez.

any whoozz I have made a pet peev. He is not perfect, but rather very flawed and he is mine. all mine. My very own pet peev. I wuvs him. :) heh.

I'm sure you are all wondering "What is a pet peev?"

Well, the only way to actually explain a peeve is to have you read bunny.

A peev is for life, not just for christmas

Its name was Alber

Bunny Island read until 848.
