Oh dear...

It has been ages since I've posted anything. I am completely inconsistent and frightfully unorganized.

Things this year have been complicated for me and it has kept me from most everything and weirdly everything is ok. It always amazes me how resilient mankind is. You can have setbacks, trauma, and horrible circumstances go on in your life and yet still carry on. That's how it's been for me. Setbacks.. circumstances.. not so much trauma unless you count my emotions and the turmoil that goes on there. Yet I can still wake up each day and find at least one thing to be thankful for.

but I won't bore you with my drama.

I was reading through one of the blogs I read regularly and I came across a post about Punjammies. So off I got to the website to do some browsing. Needless to say I was super happy I did. The cause is amazing and the product is lovely. I knew I wanted some punjammies after I saw them, but I wanted them even more after reading the reason behind them.  I purchased the ones shown above, but they go quickly so you have to buy while they have the color and fabric that you like.  I love them. They're super comfy and more lovely than just wearing my regular yoga pants. :)
and their motto is -- Wear Punjammies. Wear Hope.

hello cuteness

-- Tell me again how pretty I am...

Dear Andrew Bell,

I am in love with your little creatures. I adore them. I want a collection of them. I want the paintings of them all over the walls in my house. Murals on the sides of buildings even.

someday I say. Someday.

81

To begin my life with the beginning of my life. I recall I was born. Born a peev to a very annoyed person. born with the capability of blowing up small buildings with relatively little effort.

Ok, so not really. I was just sewn together and thrown on a desk to make my person happy. She's been wanting to say that she has a pet peev for awhile. No one understands her. I don't even understand her. Anyway... she made me and then left me here. Here at the library desk to collect dust, get gouged in the eye with towers of books, and sometimes squished by them. I saw everything & heard everything that went on.
Then suddenly my life is turned upside down as she decides that I, yes, I am worthy of a big adventure. Why wait a year? Who knows, maybe she just needed the company in the car. I dunno. I'm not her.

Anyway here I am at the desk, waiting to go on this big trip she speaks of in the previous blog.

uh. must run. things to do. people to see. babies to make cry. :D

80

oh my god I made it to 80 posts.

I babble way too much.

Anyway. That being said I have a new addition that I shall be writing about as much as possible.... I would like to introduce Alber.

Alber is my pet peev. He was inspired by bunny-comic & these are his adventures. I made him last year for halloween and he stayed at my desk at work keeping me company. As of the beginning of this month he has decided he was tired of his desk job and wanted to have a big adventure. Or rather adventures. So far they've been sparse, but I'm planning to change that. He is like my traveling garden gnome. He gets to have adventures. Maybe with me or perhaps without. Whichever I decide. :)

Recently Alber had the opportunity to travel to South Dakota to visit my wonderful sis. His first adventure was -- where else -- at Wal-Mart. The hopping Metropolis of Podunk, SD only has Wal-Mart. lol

Wal-mart before christmas time. Once we got started taking pictures we couldn't stop. It just sorta snowballed out of control. We were having so much fun I think we could have stayed in Wal-Mart the whole of the evening.

What peev wouldn't want $3.50 fruit cake? I mean common' that's a deal right there. It's everything and more. It's fruit, it's protein, it's carbs, it's sugars, it's alcohol. It's fruit & cake!
yeah, seriously can't beat that.
(we didn't buy any)

Speaking of buying you may buy your very own peev at Lem's store.

Lem's are much more adorable than mine.

Stay tuned for more pictures of Alber. :)

Good lord it has been forever.

I should just give up for awhile and try something which requires me to do nothing. Oh.. wait.. I'm already doing that. ^_^

I was in St. Louis over the weekend. I had a delightful time. It was a church conference, but I was able to see a lot of my family who were also there for the conference.

While there I went to some of the downtown restaurants and let me just say... they have quite the selection. Was most impressed.

The first night there I had 10th Street Italian, located well... on 10th St. IT was sooooo scrumptious. I had beef cannelloni that was out of this world. mmmhhh my mouth waters just thinking of it.

The next day I went to Crepes in the City, located on 14th & St. Charles. I had a Dehli crepe. So yummy... and I also ordered a Cubano. I had never had one before, but I had read that theirs were the best in the city, so I figured 'what the heck I like coffee. I'll try it.' It. was. fantastic. try it.

I'm not a breakfast person, but I like diner breakfasts. So for breakfast I went to 12th St. Diner. would you believe it's located on 12th St.! Seriously.

I had pancakes. I know not very adventurous, but I wanted them. I haven't a lot to say about them. They were pancakes, they were filling and very good. I guess that I ordered what I wanted and then by the time they came I had changed my mind because they didn't hit the spot.

HOWEVER. I went back for lunch/dinner later that day and I had their steak, veggies, & mashed potatoes. Oh mah gawd the mashed taters were soooooo good. I don't know how to describe them. They were like a pillow of heaven, on a plate, covered in delish gravy. After I had my first bite I wished that I had ordered just an enormous plate of those. The green beans could have been farm fresh they were so crisp and tasty and the steak... oh the steak. Mmmmhhhh... top that with potatoes and well... I could have eaten there all week. :)

My cousin's son had a burger that looked fantastic. mmmhhhh next time I say, next time.

Then late in the evening, say 12am or so, I went to Gio's. they made an exception and stayed open for a few groups of us. I had their Meatball sliders. which with the homemade meatballs and the cheese and spinach on a tiny bun were yummmo. (thanks rachel ray)
