We are.... where?

I have had a pretty good weekend. Well, that is aside from ticking off the world at large. I seem to have this knack for bringing out the worst in people. I'm snippy, sarcastic, caustic, and well overall I'm mean.

Don't you just hate getting forwards in your inbox? I mean come on, how many times are you going to read 'Poison in Dog food'? really? this one again? Or my recent favorite are all the political emails. I seem to get the same email from at least ten different people IN THE SAME DAY! this makes my blood boil. If you're not writing me a personal email DON'T SEND ME ANYTHING. Honestly. It's like a pet peeve of mine - pet peeve #8328734.

*sigh*

I did however, in the midst of angering the masses, manage to go to an orchard and pick apples, drink delicious cider and spend way too much money. It was awesome.

Here's to apple butter, apple sauce, apple pie, apple cider, apple jelly and raspberries. :) I love fall.

my favorite four letter word

FREE!

there is nothing better than getting something you've wanted, for free. I mean the excitement is uncontainable.

Friday night I go to Starbucks to get coffee. Now I've been contemplating buying a french press for awhile now. Mostly because I think they are adorable and I'd be able to make a small amount of coffee for myself. The one I really wanted was about $40.00 and made approximately 8 cups. 10 times more coffee than I should ever drink for sure. I would be like Tigger bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!!

So, I'm deciding on a smaller less fancy plastic model when I look over and see my little beauty staring at me from the clearance shelf. It was so beautiful it took my breathe away.

I get it up to the counter and I'm asking the barista what sort of coffee I should buy as I usually just drink coffee from a coffee shop. I don't buy, grind, brew my own. While I'm asking her this she's trying to ring up my little find and is having some difficulty. She finally looks up as says "I guess you get this for free." I'm stunned. I stand there staring at her like she's from another planet and eeep out "free?!"
"yes, free. It won't ring up so you get it for free."
"really? Free?!"
"yes, really. You get it for free."
"this isn't a joke? I get it for free?"
"yes."
"EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" -- pink bunny moment
in the meantime my brother is standing to the side going "damn, I feel like I just lost the lottery. I feel like I just missed out on a golden opportunity."
me: EEEEEEEEE!!! free!!!

n-e-who. so, what sort of roast should I buy?

I am now a bean grinding, brewing, coffee drinkin' machine. I don't think I've come down from my "free" high in the past 5 days.

It is really that day again?

Wow, time flies when you're not having fun. I have for the first time in awhile been meeting people online. It all started with this facebook application request that I stupidly said yes to. Now I regret it with my whole being. Yeah, if you have facebook do not add Friendzii... oh, it relates quite well to its similar sounding buddy Frenzy. I'm assuming that the people who made it were thinking to themselves "let's start a smiling frenzy with friends and call it Friendzii!!" OMG! ugh. *facepalms* It's the most ridiculous application ever. basically you smile at random people on bebo and facebook, by smiling you earn credits to do more than smile, give gifts, and tag people. I have met some doozy people. Guys who start the conversation with "Hey sexy, wanna get together and have a good time?" "LIKE NO! FREAK!" *shudder*
I have however met some nice, normal people on there and so I could say that it isn't all that bad. However I've never really been good at the whole 20 questions game. If I feel inclined I'll tell you about my life, if I don't then I won't. fair enough? I guess not. I feel incredibly bad about how rude, snarky and sarcastic I am. I probably give the impression of complete coldness. and well, some of that is pretty true. I am just not a warm, fluttery girl. I like order in my chaos <-- is that possible? hrm.

ugh. so.

yeah.

lists. it's that day again. My friend and I are starting a top ten list. When we finish it I'll post it next Wednesday. :)

freaks and weirdos on the webbernets

I love how the internet opens up the possibility of making a complete ass of yourself. I mean where else can you say to a person you've just met "you're so incredible hot. my *ahem* is getting hard."? I mean really? Seriously? What happened to common polite conversation? what happened to actually getting to know someone more than one second before you blurt out your kinkiest hopes and dreams. "no, really, I want to see you hanging upside down from a telephone pole. yeah. that's my fantasy. really."

ew. get real weirdos and freaks. The normal person does not like to encounter such things via the internet NOR do they enjoy such encounters in person. and by normal people I am speaking for myself.

My -shorter- list of rules for guys -- online chatting.
1) do not mention that you're thinking of a girl in a perverted way if you just met her 5 seconds ago and she has given you no indication of interest. M'KAY that means you.
2)If she does happen to fain interest. be polite. ask her about herself.
3)if she tells you something personal DO NOT ASK HER about her bedroom activities. My guess is that she still doesn't know you from Adam and she doesn't want to know your size or length or how flexible you are.
4)If she does EXPRESS interest then go from there, but take is easy on the sexy talk. It's only cute if she's instigating it. No, seriously... you know I'm right.

and those are a few NOT so simple rules. Just remember to be cool. Your mother, I hope, taught you some manners and gentlemanly behavior. You'll catch more with honey than you will with vinegar... or some such nonsense.

lists... hrm.

Well, I'd like to say that I have ever so much to say today, but I really don't. I went on vacation over the Labor day weekend and it was fantastic. I forgot just how much I adore Wisconsin. it's just so lush and green, with rolling hills and bright red barns. Oh sure they still have the cornfields and such, but it's different.
