educate thy self.

ugh... have you ever spent an entire day hating the fact that people these days are complete and total idiots? I have done that for the past 2 days. Days which I have had to work with the greater public of my local. Now I am quite exhausted AND my eye is twitching. ugh.

~top idiotic responses~
>I shouldn't have to give you any identification. I was born here.
-- and I'm thinking to myself "WHO FRIGGIN' CARES!"
ugh. seriously? like oh my god really? you're not like oh my god kidding me?
actual response -- I don't really care where you were born. I still need to see ID.
them:I'm not showing you a damn thing and I didn't ask for any of this I just want my information.
me: I need you to show me identification as that is our policy.
them: well it's stupid. There is something wrong with your administration that they require people to have identification.
me:Ma'am, for your protection we require that all individuals who would like information about their account, without their card being present, show proof of who they are. it's simply a precaution.
>them:I wants to get a new account.
me:have you had an account with us before?
them:Yes
me:then we won't make you a "new" account we'll just update the old one.
them:but I have fines.
me: yes, and those will need to be taken care of before we can update your record to full privileges.
them:well.. I can't do that today.
me:then I won't be able to update your account.
them:then give me a new one.

ugh.

well, I forgot to mention that I leave work early every Wednesday afternoon because I am taking Spanish language classes for work. This is probably part of my horrid problem as far as stress is concerned. I feel like an infant -- trying to learn things that I'm just not really capable of, even though I know I am. n-e-who this month is Hispanic Heritage month so we had a lovely bit of artwork about Frida Kahlo and our museum will be hosting artwork by Diego.

off I run chilluns -- have fun.

happy hamster

~alt text "mostly if it's bad"
*sigh*

I've had an jolly good weekend -- yes, I spent it doing a lot of nothingness, but then this is my prerogative.

Friday - I got to hold my friends wee bairn at the hospital... he's adorable. She's hoping he gets to go home soon.

Saturday - since my Pops (father) is still in town I went shopping with him at Costco after madly cleaning the kitchen and such. then I cooked a nice sweet and sour balti chicken dish. Over all a great Saturday.

Sunday - I went to church -- went out after church with friends as it was the last service that our mutual acquaintance would be here. I will miss him quite a lot. Then in the evening I went to a bonfire at my boss's house. It was quite nice.

Monday - a lot of nothingness and watching Hamish Macbeth. I adore Scottish accents and should think that I'd adjust very well to the country. I'd like that close knit feeling I think. n-e-whoo that evening because of a dryer catastrophe at home I had to frequent a laundry mat. ugh. I spent 2 hours of torture at a laundry mat -- torture because i had to watch Spanish soap operas. Nothing worse than a soap opera in my opinion and to be forced to watch it IN a language you don't really understand.. ugh. I thought my ears would start bleeding from all the crying that went on. but I got my clothes washed, dried, and folded. so all is well with the world.

lists for today -- well -- I don't have anything cool or new or interesting. So perhaps I'll just not make a list. HAHAHHAHAHHAHAH just kidding.

Not that I just discovered this or anything BUT I did just discover this

odd things I've been asked online
>my name appears to the side of my picture
"wot your name?"
>from creepy old man. creepy because he likes to hug, caress, etc. on friendzii vs. just smiling like a normal old geezer to a young hot chicka -- and by old I mean old enough to be my grandfather
"invite me to be your facebook friend??"

there are so many that I haven't the time to sort through them. SO be happy with two stupid questions from two stupid people OKAY FOLKS.

lord? of the falls... plip...

Have you ever just had one of those weeks where you don't want to do anything. That's this week for me. I feel tired - exhausted really - by everything. I also feel very numb. I'm sure it all has to do with recent changes in my environment. My younger brother/room-mate moved to Wisconsin this past weekend. Sort of brings out all my angst of being alone. We spent a lot of quality time together. Driving around town, yelling at weirdies, watching movies - even cooking. *sigh* it makes everything seem rather lifeless and boring. It's not that I don't like having my house back, it's just that it is nice to have someone around to talk to, other than myself.

I feel like I'm living on liquid sunshine -- here today, consumed immediately and then GONE! dagnabbit. happy thoughts, think happy thoughts.

lists - as it is *that* day again.

~quality reading~
>Lem outdid him self today. I chuckled and chuckled at Bunny
>We written by Zamyatin, Yevgeny
>A Softer World

I am limiting my list to the number 3 today... why? because I feel like it and it is my freakin' blog. :p

~recently discovered awesomeness~
>scritch scratch
>not so recent, but totally worth mentioning. well, the girly sale is recent. BUY SHIRTS PEOPLE! and then wear them, please. :)
Threadless

spastic-ness

life is full of all sorts of challenges, as I'm sure you know for yourself. I often hope that I meet these challenges with dignity and honor. HA HAHAHHA

however this is rarely the case.

My recent peeve -- and I have many -- involves singing at my church.

peeve #82473923
being asked to sing and practice is an hour before service and I don't know the songs.

peeve #813478294
people watching me like a hawk so they can criticize my every move and action.

peeve #12908312
singing songs that I find redundant and stupid and then having to compliment people on choosing them.

peeve #23472343
listening to the practice cd *blech*

peeve #1824798274
smiling while singing. *evil grin*

wacky wednesday.

I've been horrible about updating. It seems the only day I actually get to blog is Wednesday. My job has this contest going on at the moment -- we're suppose to start a blog about technology, then familiarize ourselves with the various "free" techie things offered to bloggers that make our lives, as bloggers, more convenient. Things like Flickr. I have thought of joining the contest just to win the various prizes, but I just... yeah... I can't force myself to blog when I don't have anything people would be interested in reading.

mreh.

~boredom~
>friendzii
>no longer have treasure hunt to keep me busy
>work
>too much work
>life

I was talking to a close friend the other day and said "Perhaps I should put a top ten ways to make a man squeal in my blog." you know, because I do lists and things. *head shake* and I'm just so awesome at it.

but I thought about it... and came up with an amusing list - amusing to me anyhow.

~5 ways to make men squeal~
>mention to them that you took some pictures -- don't send them
>send them naughty pictures of girly underbits - or just naughty pictures
>lick something provocatively while they're watching.
>text them something boring, but worded in such a way that it can't be mistaken for anything else but a come-on.
>feign innocence

To be honest I don't really know that much about driving men mad. I'm not an ego stroker and so relationships with me don't last very long. I sorta shoo them away before they can get too close to my personal life. Drama causes me to become a volcano and destroy things so I tend to shy away from it -- and as we all know relationships are DRAMA.

moving right along.

~5 favorite songs of the day~
>O' sailor - Fiona Apple
>Ready for Love - India.Arie
>Yes, I'm cold - Chris Bathgate
>Desperate Guys - the Faint
>Day too Soon - Sia
